Hey Guys!! This summer we are planning a Volunteer Cleanup Event to help restore the natural beauty of the Rouge Gateway Trailhead. For those of you familiar with the area, it has been littered with pedestrian trash over the past couple of years to the point where we can easily fill a trash bag in less then an hour. We are hoping to get enough volunteers to where we can restore the natural beauty of the Rouge Gateway Trailhead and enjoy it before the end of the day. The more volunteers, the merrier! :) For those interested in attending, carpool options are available as well as Letters of Recommendation. Please contact Amanda beforehand if either of these need to be arranged. Meet up will be at 12pm (noon), at the Dearbord Rd entrance. and supplies will be provided (gloves, trashbags, water, ect.) Please come prepared with appropriate shoes and attire to walk around/withstand the heat, and be prepared to protect yourself against any plants in the area that you may or may not be allergic to (ie. poison ivy!!).
